I can see some important points being made here. However, as others have said, this article is flawed as it incorrectly defines impostor syndrome as a result of lack of knowledge or experience. Impostor syndrome can be an irrational or illogical reaction to difficult or new experiences. It can also be incorrectly ascribed to a person who is in fact being gaslit.

Self confidence and self esteem are the common issues faced by people with impostor syndrome.
